The filter cartridge can be changed quickly and easily without getting your hands wet. The white filter fleece performs the coarse pre-filter function. The green filter fleece is used for the fine filter with narrow pores. Special activated carbon is used to eliminate water discoloration and unpleasant odors. Thanks to the practical clip holder, the cartridge can be changed quickly and cleanly. The level of filter contamination can be determined by the water flow rate. Depending on the filter type, it should be cleaned every 14 days to 3 months, reducing the flow rate by approximately half. Use lukewarm tap water or, better yet, aquarium water to rinse the filter material. If using filter sponges, simply squeezing them out is sufficient. Never use hot or cold water for this, as this destroys beneficial filter bacteria. Cleaning agents should never be used.
